Saturday night’s Pecha Kucha speakers event will introduce seven new speakers, as well as a new location, with the event moving from its usual locale, the Esplanade, to Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede’s Cypress Centre.

The event, which kicks off at 8:20 p.m., doors opening at 7:15 p.m., is an opportunity for community members to gather and learn from the diverse group of speakers presenting on an array of topics.

This evening’s lineup includes presentations by; Keith Walker, sharing his journey from not knowing how to swim, to swimming almost daily; Doris Osterhold, discussing how her career as an entrepreneur translated into a passion for arts in her retirement; Leanne Stehr, speaking on her decision to adopt her daughter from Taiwan; Jason Nelson, sharing his life philosophy and how it assisted him in discovering his purpose; Jade Monette, explaining how and why she became a single mother by choice; Sgt. Brian Bohrn, opening up about a day in his life as a downtown patrol officer with Medicine Hat Police Service; and Linda Tooth, discussing how she uses communication to make the world a better place.

Admission to the event is pay-what-your-will, with a suggested donation of $5, which will be used to fund future Pecha Kucha Nights.

Fryer Tuck’s Food Truck will be on site with a cash bar and food options.
