WHL playoffs: Ice beat Warriors, Thunderbirds advance to third round

MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Zack Ostapchuk knocked in the game-winning goal at 11:56 in overtime as the Winnipeg Ice edged the Moose Jaw Warriors 3-2 to even the best-of-seven series at two games apiece.

Matthew Savoie and Vladislav Shilo also scored for Winnipeg.

Ice netminder Daniel Hauser stopped 29 of 31 shots in the win.

Martin Rysavy and Jagger Firkus all scored once for Moose Jaw.

Game 5 takes place Saturday in Winnipeg.

Thunderbirds goaltender Thomas Milic saved 22 of 24 shots.
