CALGARY, United Kingdom – The Calgary Flames have work to do to get back into playoff position in the NHL.

The Flames are five points out of Western Conference wild-card spot with a quarter of their regular season remaining.

Sub-par goaltending recently hasn’t helped the Flames’ cause.

Both Jacob Markstrom and Dan Vladar say they’re working hard to sharpen their game and that their confidence in net hasn’t been dented.

The NHL trade deadline is Friday.

The Flames have been quiet on that front perhaps in hope that players they have can get on a run of wins down the stretch.
