The local cheerleading club competed at the Imagine Cheer And Dance Championships in Calgary. The teams competing ranged between ages four and 18. The Fusion’s youngest team, Sparkle, made up of four girls, competed in the U6 novice division, taking home an outstanding along with a hit zero, which means no deductions. Glow, the U8 Level 1 prep division also took home an outstanding placement. Starburst, one of Fusion’s U12 level 1 Prep Teams took home second place with a hit zero. Team Flare finished in first place and had another hit zero routine for the local gym in the U12 Prep division. The U12 Nitro competed for their first time ever in Level 2 elite division. They received a hit zero on their second day routine and finished fifth. The Fusion’s U18 Ignite took first place in the level 2 elite division. The local gym also had 13 individuals who competed at the championship. U8 Level 1 Nevaeh, first place Sophia, third place Faith, fourth place U12 Level 1 Rhyen, second place Ava, third place Elizabeth, fourth place U12 Level 2 Presley, fourth place Abi, seventh place U12 Level 3 Ashtyn, third place U16 Level 2 Maddy, second place Bree, fourth place Annibel, sixth place U18 Level 3 Keilee, first place Fusion had one duo compete as well, with Emma and Emersyn taking second in the U12 Level 1 division. 32
