The Rattlers women’s volleyball team lost in three straight sets Friday, 25-20, 25-19, 25-16. Ella Nichols had eight kills to lead MHC. On Saturday the Rattlers pushed the Kodiaks to the limit but fell in five sets, 25-14, 25-21, 21-25, 26-28 and 17-15. Nichols had 21 kills while Emily Berringer and Anica Haberstock each had 12 kills. The men’s volleyball team won the first set Friday before dropping three straight, 25-19, 16-25, 14-25, 10-25. Jordan McKee had nine kills. It was the same script Saturday as Nathan Chernik racked up 11 kills with the Rattlers falling in four sets, 25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 25-14. The women’s (5-12) and men’s (2-15) volleyball teams close out the regular season schedule this weekend on the road against Lakeland College on Friday and Keyano College on Saturday. Lopsided scores were all over the board for the Rattlers basketball teams. The Rattlers women’s basketball team also battled the Kodiaks and lost 96-45 at home Friday and 74-40 on the road Saturday. Mina Djordjevic had nine points and two rebounds in Friday’s loss for MHC, and Brynn Bremner led the way Saturday with nine points and six rebounds. The men’s basketball team also had a difficult time with the Kodiaks, falling 97-58 at home Friday and 93-47 in Lethbridge on Saturday. Cooper Ward had 30 points and nine rebounds in Friday’s contest and led the way Saturday with 18 points and six rebounds. The Rattlers’ women’s (0-18) and men’s (9-9) basketball teams host Lakeland College on Friday and Keyano College on Saturday. 11
