CURTIS OSCAR NOBLE February 19, 1981 December 15, 2022
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Curtis Oscar Noble announce his unexpected passing on December 15, 2022, at the age of 41 years. Curtis is survived by his parents, Blaine and Jeanne Noble; 3 daughters, Keelin, Julie and Leah Noble, mother of his children, Jennifer Noble; sister, Crystal (Shane) Sabo; niece, Jasper Sabo; nephew, Dax Sabo; grandmother, Rita Forget, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Curtis was predeceased by his grandparents, Oscar and Dorothy Noble; and grandfather, Willie Forget.
Curtis was born in Swift Current, SK on February 19, 1981, and was raised in Medicine Hat, AB. He attended St. Michael’s, St. Mary’s and graduated from McCoy High School in 1999. After graduation, he played junior football for the Victoria Rebels. In 2004, Curtis attended Lakeland College in Vermillion and obtained a diploma in Emergency Services Technology and a certificate as an Emergency Medical Technician from NAIT. He began his career as a firefighter for the Swift Current Fire Department and casually worked as an EMT. He was blessed with twin girls, Keelin and Julie, in 2008. He and his family moved back to Medicine Hat in 2010 where he worked for the Medicine Hat Fire Department. It was his first shift with the MH Fire Department that his youngest daughter, Leah, was born. He served as President of the Medicine Hat Firefighters Association and was Vice President of the Alberta Firefighters Association.
Curtis enjoyed playing football, but also loved being a coach. He coached football in Swift Current and at McCoy High School. He was an avid outdoorsman; spending as much time as he could in his garden, fishing, hunting, riding his motorbike, and spent many hours at Lac Pelletier. Curtis had an appreciation for politics and ran for a seat on the public school board in 2021.
Most of all, Curtis was a devoted father to 3 beautiful girls. He loved spending time with them, and his legacy will live on in the many lives he has touched over his short 41 years.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 1PM at the Cypress Centre, 2055 21 Ave SE, Medicine Hat, AB, with Chaplain Mike Landry officiating.
In Curtis’ last days there were many visitors sharing their stories about Curtis and how he had impacted their lives. The family would love it if you could write your Curtis story down so they can make a memory book for his daughters to read for many years to come.

EVA MEDD

EVA MEDD November 24, 1945 ~ December 16, 2022
Eva Medd passed away peacefully at the Sunnyside Nursing Home in Medicine Hat on Friday, December 16, 2022, at the age of 77 years. Eva’s memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of her daughter, Patricia Lewendon (partner, Josh) and son, Romanoff (wife, Jacky) Martin; grandchildren, Jasmin (Josh) Talley and their children, McKenna, Kinsley, Carter and Meadow; Jodi (Jordan), Bobbie (Kali), Jurnee (Zach), Rodney and Micheal Martin; three brothers, two sisters and their spouses as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Eva will be greatly missed but never forgotten by her family, the friends in her “family of the heart”, including her dear friends, Nick and Rita, and the many other people who’s lives she touched. Eva was born in Germany and moved to Canada as a young mother with her two children in the 60’s. She settled in Medicine Hat where Eva worked hard to build a home and a well-lived life for herself and her children. Hard work and troubling times never daunted Eva for long. She always rose above, even if it took a little time. Her life-long love of learning and quick mind served her well, as Eva taught herself to read and speak English by doing word puzzles and reading novels. Eva was intrepid, loved adventure, and took any opportunity to travel from polar bear watching in Churchill, Manitoba to numerous trips to the coast of British Columbia. Given the choice, Eva would always be outdoors rather than inside, enjoying nature, watching the river flow by, feeding the deer, communing with hummingbirds or sitting having a coffee and a good chat. Her warmth and kindness, her big generous heart, her fun loving and mischievous nature, always drew people to her. Eva was always happiest when taking care of and helping others; she always put the needs of others before her own. She loved to cook and feed people, the more the merrier; her door was always open. Eva’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, playing cards, laughing and loving together. It is impossible to capture all the wonderful complexities of our mother in words as we will always hold her in our hearts. The family would like to thank South Country Village and particularly the nurses and staff at Havenview for the care, kindness and friendship they showed Eva in her last years – they made it a home, not just the place she lived. A time of visitation will be held at Cook Southland Funeral Chapel, 901 – 13 Street S.W., Medicine Hat, on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. (Condolences may be expressed by visiting our website at http://www.cooksouthland.com) Honoured to serve the family is
