sports@medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The U18AA Medicine Hat Hounds picked up three of a possible four points in their weekend games. On the road Saturday, the Hounds tied the Red Deer Elks 3-3. Brandyn Baird had a goal and an assist with Jacob Hazzard and Joey Hackett rounding out the scoring with a goal each. Silas Currie made 18 saves in net. Sunday afternoon the Hounds beat the Foothills Bisons 5-2. Baird again led the way offensively, finding the back of the net twice. Brennan Wereley, Connor Palmer and Kaden Pahl each scored a goal and Hayden King and Gavin Smith had two assists each. Currie was between the pipes again and turned aside 53 shots in the win. The U18AA Hounds (5-8-2) have two home games this weekend, hosting the CNHA Gold on Saturday and the Olds Grizzly’s on Sunday. U17 The U17AAA SEAC Tigers split their weekend on the road. On Saturday they lost 6-3 against the Knights of Columbus Centennials. Treyson Girletz had a goal and an assist with Parker Kienzle and Kayden Yeaman each scoring a goal of their own. Kayne Wright and Kolter Gans combined for 28 saves. In their win Sunday, the Tigers beat the Grande Peace Storm 2-1. Quade VanderSpruit and Yeaman scored for SEAC with Wright making 34 saves in the win. The U17AAA Tigers (5-6-2) have one game this weekend, they’ll take on the Calgary Bulls on Saturday. U16 The U16AA Medicine Hat Hounds picked up a point in their weekend slate. On Saturday they tied the CNHA Northstars 1-1, Davin Torgerson scored the Hounds’ goal. Adam ranger made 50 saves. The Hounds lost 3-2 Sunday against the Airdrie-Bow Valley Havoc. Austin Murphy and Jaxon Scrivener each scored and Easton Kurpjuweit had two assists. Ranger turned aside 48 shots. The U16AA Hounds (5-2-3) have two games this weekend, they host the Okotoks Oilers on Saturday and hit the road to face the CBHA Hawks on Sunday. U15 The U15AAA SEAC Tigers dropped both of their contests against the Red Deer Rebels over the weekend. On Saturday they lost 7-2, Madden Wright and Kade Dickie scored a goal each, Grady Brost made 31 saves. On Sunday, the Tigers lost 10-2 against the Rebels. Treyden Kleinknecht and Carter Allan each scored and Hudson Corbett made 38 saves. The U15AAA Tigers (1-15-1) have one game ahead, they visit the Calgary Flames on Saturday. The U15AA SEAC Tigers also had two games over the weekend, ultimately losing both. Saturday the Tigers lost 3-2 against the Olds Grizzlys. Lucas Dulle and Brogan Verishine had a goal each and Logan Neuls had two assists. Keyden Van Ham turned aside 25 shots. On Sunday, the Tigers lost 3-2 against the Airdrie Lightning. Jon Jackie and Verishine had a goal in the loss and Van Ham made 33 saves. The U15AA Tigers (2-9-2) have three games this weekend, facing the Golden Suns on Friday, hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday and facing the Red Deer Steel Kings on Sunday. U13 The U13AA Hounds won both of their games over the weekend, beating the Airdrie Lightning 5-2 on Saturday and the Golden Suns 11-2 on Sunday. Against Airdrie, George Maser had a goal and two assists, Lucas Fisher had two goals and Everett Ward added a goal and an assist. Carter Jarvis rounded out the scoring with a goal of his own and Gibson Studer had two assists. Braden Tshritter made 15 saves. In the bloated win against the Golden Suns, Fisher had three goals and Cole Siewert had two goals and an assist. Carter Gilchrist, Ward and Jarvis each had a goal and two assists. Beckham Girletz had two goals, Maguire Liefso had a goal and Evander Leupold and Maser each had two assists. Paxton Smigelski made 13 saves. The U13AA Hounds (11-2-4) have two home games this weekend, hosting the Taber Golden Suns on Friday and the Wheatland Braves on Saturday. 26
