SAHA opened the weekend with a 5-2 victory Friday against International Hockey academy. Gavin McKenna had a goal and three assists, Kadon McCann had a goal and an assist and Nick McLennan, Brett Calhoon and Nate Corbet each added a goal of their own. Owen Pettipas picked up his first win of the year with 33 saves. On Saturday, SAHA had a big win, beating Pilot Mound HA 15-0. Pettipas turned aside all 10 shots he faced. Defenceman Matthew Paranych led the way offensively with two goals and two assists. Noah Dziver and Calhoon each added a goal and three assists, McKenna found the back of the net three times. Brayden Sumner scored twice and added an assist, Kade Duell had a goal and two assists and Sammy Hynes had a goal and an assist of his own. Julien Laqua, Taylor Ivison, Noah Derouin and Elias Eisenbarth each had a goal of their own. SAHA capped off their weekend with a 5-2 win against the Notre Dame Hounds. McCann led SAHA with a goal and an assist with Josiah Jackson, Hynes, McKenna and Calhoon each scoring a goal of their own. Pettipas made 14 saves for his third win of the weekend. The SAHA men’s team (14-3-0-2) have one more CSSHL game on the docket before the Christmas break, as they’ll head to Calgary to face Edge School on Dec. 15. Dziver signs in BCHL SAHA forward Noah Dziver has signed to play with the BCHL’s Penticton Vees next season. The 17-year-old Winnipeg product has 19 goals and 36 points in 19 games at the CSSHL U18 level. The Vees are 24-0 to start their BCHL season. 11
