They beat Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg 4-0 Thursday night before completing a two-goal comeback Friday to beat St. Mary’s Academy 3-2 in a shoutout. Devyn Amundson made 21 saves for the shutout against Rink Winnipeg. Maddison Andrew opened the scoring and led the way offensively with a goal and an assist. Emersyn Baugh, Brooklynne Painter and Téa Pearce each had a goal in the win. In Friday’s win, SAHA trailed St. Mary’s 2-0 through two periods and were being outshot 32-6. Brianna Finke scored 1:57 into the third and 1:26 later, Pearce scored the tying goal. SAHA led overtime in shots 3-1 and won in the shootout with goals from Marley Howes and Keira Grant. Maddy Ferguson made 49 saves in the win. The SAHA women’s team takes on Edge School Saturday before their rematch with RHA Winnipeg on Sunday. The U18 men’s team has two games this weekend, hosting RHA Winnipeg at 11:30 a.m. Saturday and OHA Edmonton at 10:30 on Sunday, both at Big Marble Go Centre. 8
