OHL Roundup: Tolnai’s four-point night leads 67’s in dominant 6-1 win over Colts

OTTAWA – Cameron Tolnai recorded two goals along with two assists as the Ottawa 67’s put forth a dominant showing in a 6-1 win over the Barrie Colts on Friday.

Brady Stonehouse also scored twice while adding one assist for Ottawa (11-1-0). Vinzenz Rohrer netted one goal with two assists and Brad Gardiner added the other marker in the win.

Max Donoso stopped 21-of-22 shots for the 67’s.

Jacob Frasca scored the lone goal for Barrie (6-4-1-1), which tied the game up in the first period. Anson Thornton made 31 saves in a losing effort.

HAMILTON – Matvey Petrov scored two goals as North Bay (9-4-0) cruised past lowly Hamilton (3-7-1). Dalyn Wakely, Liam Arnsby and Kyle McDonald added the other goals for the Battalion while Charlie Robertson stopped 36-of-37 shots in the win.

LONDON, ONT. – Liam Gilmartin, Carey Terrance and Christian Kyrou each scored a goal and added an assist as Erie (8-4-0-2) blew out London (5-6-1) on the road. Noah Sedore, Spencer Sova, Nathan Sauder also scored for the Otters.

FLINT, MICH. – Mason Vaccari turned away 41-of-42 shots he faced to help lead Kingston (8-5-0-1) past Flint (7-7-0). Christopher Thibodeau, Paul Hughes and Francesco Arcuri each scored in the victory.

SAULT STE. MARIE, ONT. – Sasha Pastujov and Valentin Zhugin both scored in the shootout to lead Guelph (4-9-2) past Soo (4-5-3-2). Jacob Oster stopped 35 shots in regulation and overtime before making two more saves in the shootout for the Storm.

SUDBURY, ONT. – Aidan Castle knocked in the game-winning goal in the overtime period as Niagara (4-7-3) edged Sudbury (3-8-2). After going up 3-1 in the second period, the IceDogs were outscored 3-1 by the Wolves to send the game to overtime.

KITCHENER, ONT. – Marco Costantini earned a shutout with 18 saves as Kitchener (5-7-0) downed Saginaw (8-6-1). Roman Schmidt scored the lone goal for the Rangers.
