Medicine Hat’s new Probus club is off to a successful start following its Oct. 6 Charter Day event.
Held at the Veiner Centre, the public event included speeches, a celebratory lunch and the club’s charter issuance. Mayor Linnsie Clark also made an appearance. Probus is a professional business organization for retired or semi-retired seniors.
“We made a huge impact in promoting our club and giving people a sense of the 3Fs – fellowship, fun and friends,” club president Tom Simpson said. “Thanks to all (involved for) bringing something unique to Medicine Hat.”
