https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The cost of a third-party investigation that led to the resignation of Medicine Hat police chief Mike Worden has been revealed, but not much else. A response seen by the News to an official request for information through the provincial privacy commissioner shows that the Medicine Hat Police Commission paid $17,860 to a law firm looking into allegations of non-workplace misconduct. According to the local commission, the report cleared Worden of wrong doing, though the chief who had been hired in late 2020 resigned in March to seek private sector employment. Media reports stated Worden had attempted to begin a sexual relationship with a woman he met online. The Medicine Hat Police Service named Insp. Joe West as interim chief while a search for a permanent replacement is being sought. 7
