Knights bounce back from two losses to escape weekend with a win

The Medicine Hat K of C Knights shook off a pair of tough losses and escaped the weekend with a 16-7 win over the Sherwood Park A’s on Saturday.

The victory – led by Declan Foshaug’s 2-for-2 performance – came on the heels of a pair of Friday losses, 11-9 to the Calgary Stride and 18-6 to the Cranbrook Bandits.

The Knights took command of Saturday’s win with a seven-run second inning, thanks in part to several walks and a key single from Foshaug.

Cade Moch collected the victory after seven runs on two hits over five complete innings of work.

Foshaug also went 3-for-3 in Friday’s lopsided loss to Cranbrook.

Moch, Talen Crockford and Parker Hunt all had multiple-hit games to help mount Friday’s late comeback attempt against Calgary, but it fell short in the two-run loss.
