The Medicine Hat Boxing club attended the ‘Next Generation’ show in Chestermere last weekend. Jacob Walne defeated Liam Pagaling from Calgary Boxing Club by split decision in the 38-kilogram class. MHBC’s Nate Vossler lost by split decision to Jack Senga from team Saskatchewan in the 57-kg. class. Porter Ostrowski MHBC also lost by split decision to Yair Mendina from Southside Edmonton in the 80-kg. class. MHBC coach Kerry Fahlman said in an email to the News that Vossler and Ostrowski dominated their matches and he thought they were good wins, but said there’s no point in complaining about the decisions as both kids left the ring knowing they did everything they could do. The boxing club’s next action is Golden Gloves in Edmonton April 23,24. 7
