1960 ~ WILLIAM KNAPMAN ~ 2022

William ‘Bill” Robert Knapman of Medicine Hat passed away on Friday, March 18th, 2022 at the age of 61 years. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Terry Knapman (Marilyn) and Jamie (Colleen) Knapman and their children. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Nellie Knapman and step-father, Ken Robertson. Bill was born in Lethbridge, AB on September 9th, 1960. At seven years of age, he moved with his family to Regina, SK where he grew up and received his education. As a young man, Bill was very active. He was an enthusiastic participant in the Special Olympics and enjoyed downhill skiing, weightlifting, swimming, and bowling. He accumulated many medals as he travelled to many events. In 1994, Bill moved to Medicine Hat, AB where he began a long-term association with Redi Enterprises. He was always active in the workshop and enjoyed his time there, taking pride in his many accomplishments. He was also an active member of his church and he loved his community and being out and about and busy in the community. Bill liked to dine out and enjoyed going out for coffee with friends and family for some spirited conversation. He could often be found at the Medicine Hat Legion playing a lively game of darts or singing karaoke with Doreen. No matter where you went, someone around you knew Bill. He was friendly, fun, and sociable. He loved animals and was especially fond of dogs. When Bill was at home he enjoyed listening to country music or watching one of his many DVD movies. Above all else, Bill loved his family first. He looked forward to the weekly calls he received from his Mom, travelling to Regina to visit with her and his brother and his friends, as well as phone calls from his special love, Lori. He loved to spend time with his nieces and nephews and to join in summer barbecues at Marilyn’s and Sam’s with his brother, Terry. A very special thank you to Doreen Florkowski, who Bill lovingly referred to as “Mom”. Bill had lived with Doreen since 2017 and was always telling people about all the adventures that they shared and the visits that they had with her family and friends. We thank you for being his second Mom and for all that you did. Words cannot express how grateful we are; Bill and our family felt so truly blessed to have you in our lives. We are also very thankful for all those who responded so quickly to Bill’s distress and the EMT’s for the life saving measures undertaken. Mrs. Tina Vos of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Roy Vos, passed away quietly and went home to her Lord at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the age of 81 years.
Tina was born on September 7, 1940 to Sijbren and Antje Procee in Holwerd, Netherlands. She immigrated to Canada with her family on The Beaverbrae ship, third class passage and arrived in Quebec on May 1, 1950.

Some of mom’s best memories were cooking for banquets in the Burdett Community Hall. She was in her element, and the bigger the crowd the better!! After several moves in Alberta, even out to Chilliwack BC, they ended up back in Lethbridge March 19, 2020 just as everything shut down or locked down.
