The Rattlers lost to the St. Mary’s Lightning 69-48 a day after beating Red Deer polytechnic 66-38 in their first post-season match. St. Marys jumped out to an early lead in the first half against the Rattlers, going up 46-18. The Ratters finished off strong, outscoring the Lightning 30-23. Katelyn Rozdeba led Medicine Hat offensively with 20 points and 14 rebounds in 30 minutes of play. Hannah Helton was the offensive force for the Lightning, knocking in 21 points in 22 minutes. MHC finishes the year with a 9-9 record including post season action. Mens volleyball The Rattlers men’s volleyball team got into playoff action Friday after finishing the regular season with a record of 2-14. The Rattlers travelled to Olds to do battle with the Broncos and fell in three sets, 25-15, 25-10, 25-21. Nathan Chernik and Jovan Stepanovic led the Rattlers offensively with eight and six kills, respectively. Ty Moline had 19 assists and kept the ball off the floor with seven digs. 9
