This Easter, Hatters can let their creativity flow with a Ukrainian egg decorating kit, available for $27 at the Police Point Park Nature Centre.

The kits are offered through the Interpretive Program annually, and include a kistka tool, wax, four dye colours and instructions.

“It’s a nice family activity,” Ian Langill, assistant chief park interpreter, told the News. “We did it once and it was very successful – everyone liked it – so we kept it going and now it’s a tradition for a lot of people in Medicine Hat to do them every single year.”

Langill encourages Hatters get their kits sooner rather than later as supplies are limited.

“We have had quite a few people already coming down and getting the kits … so we do recommend people try to come down as soon as they can,” said Langill. “This way they will have more of a variety of materials they can choose from.”

The kits will be available as supplies. For more information, contact the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program at 403-529-6225 or online.
