https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews BluEarth Renewables reports that its two newest solar power plants are now operating near Jenner and Tilley, Alta. The pair of 23-megawatt solar projects were acquired from developer Canadian Solar in early 2021, and are attached to a power purchase agreement with the province’s Ministry of Infrastructure. The Alberta Electric System operator showed production from the sites on its real-time supply board this week following a release by the company that operations were ongoing as of January 20. The specific facilities are partly owned by the Conklin Metis Local No. 193. They are the fourth and fifth facilities in Southeast Alberta owned and operated by Calgary-based BluEarth, which has a shop and dispatch facilities in Redcliff. Solar plants in Yellow Lake and Burdett, west of Medicine Hat, went into operations in June 2021. It also owns the Suffield Solar Facility, located west of the hamlet near the TransCanada Highway. 8
