Hat volleyballer commits to Thompson Rivers

Hat High volleyball all-star Addison Witkowski has committed to The Thompson Rivers WolfPack.

The Kamloops-based university announced via press release Thursday afternoon they had signed the 6-foot-1 middle from Medicine Hat for the 2022-23 season.

Witkowski said in the release she chose TRU because of the location, the amazing science programs offered as well as the class sizes.

“But the big reason for my decision was to be a part of the WolfPack,” Witkowski said. “The coaches genuinely care about the athletes as people, not just as players. The athletes themselves are so dedicated and truly have a passion for the game. It’s a program I’m super excited to be a part of.”

Witkowski finished this season as the South East Zone Volleyball League MVP with the Hawks.
