South Alberta Hockey Academy’s U18 male prep squad went 2-0-1 over the weekend, winning 6-4 over Edge School Friday before defeating International 7-0 Saturday, then falling 5-4 to Northern Alberta in a shootout on Sunday. Aiden Oiring led SAHA with two goals and two assists Friday, while Josh Perrault and Shane Smith had one of each. Elijah Anderson and Braxton Thornton scored individual goals. Brock Lott stopped 28 shots Elias Eisenbarth had a hat trick and Smith had two goals and an assist Saturday. Emmett Barnett and Perrault rounded out the scoring and Zack Zahara stopped 14 for the shutout. Smith, Thornton, Perrault and Dayden Collier scored Sunday, while Lott stopped 42 before settling for the shootout loss. The weekend puts SAHA at 14-4-0-2 on the Canadian Sport School Hockey League season. The team will be in Winnipeg this weekend for a pair of games against RINK on Saturday and Sunday.
