Alberta Parks will once again be issuing permits allowing individuals to cut their own Christmas tree in one of three provincial parks. Permit applications are available online for Cypress Hills Provincial Park, Castle Provincial Park or Castle Wildland Provincial Park. Applications can also be submitted at the Cypress Hills visitor centre or local and provincial offices in Lethbridge, Pincher Creek or Blairmore. Applicants must receive approval before cutting down a tree and fees may apply. If approved, Alberta Parks will provide specific directives as to which trees can be cut and during what times. Alberta Parks reminds individuals to dress warm and bring all necessary supplies, such as a saw, or axe and rope. 5
