The Medicine Hat Hounds U16 AA squad went undefeated over the weekend, besting the Lethbridge Hurricanes 8-5 and 4-3 in a home-and-home set. Treyson Girletz led the Hounds with two goals and an assist in Saturday’s 8-5 win, while Jack Henry had a goal and two assists, Gavin Hagens had one of each and Parker Forest added two helpers. Jaxson Snortland, Wyatt Bower, Madden Kelly and Hayden Smith rounded out the scoring. Stats from Sunday’s game were not available. The Hounds (2-9-1) are back at the Kinplex Saturday to host the NWCAA Stamps. U16 AAA South East Athletic Club’s U16 AAA Tigers dropped a pair of games on the road this weekend, 5-0 to the Calgary Bulls Saturday and 11-1 to the Calgary Royals Sunday. Tigers goaltender Kaige Schafer stopped 38 shots Saturday and 19 Sunday, splitting the crease with Keegan Stenger (14 saves) in the loss to the Royals. Makhi Carriere scored SEAC’s lone goal of the weekend. The Tigers (4-9-0) return to the ice Sunday to face the Hurricanes in Lethbridge. U13 AA The Medicine Hat Hounds Orange U13 AA team went 0-1-1 over the weekend with a 6-6 tie to the Chestermere Lakers on Friday and a 7-3 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Saturday The Hounds Black dropped three games, 6-3 to the Wheatland Braves Friday, 6-2 to the Bow Valley Timberwolves Saturday and 4-3 to Taber on Sunday. The Hounds Orange (4-7-2) are back in action Saturday at the Kinplex against the Olds Grizzlies, while the Hounds Black (7-5-0) return Dec. 3 to face the Wheatland Braves on the road. U15 AA South East Athletic Club’s U15 AA Tigers were blanked 8-0 by the Golden Suns on Saturday in Taber. The Tigers (7-5-3) are back Dec. 5 to host the Foothills Bisons. U18 AA Medicine Hat’s U18 AA Hounds split their weekend with a 5-1 loss to the Taber Golden Suns Friday and a 3-2 win over the Wheatland Chiefs on Saturday. The Hounds return to the ice Sunday to host Taber. 18
