https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews A second weekend mobile vaccination clinic will be set up at the Medicine Hat Mall parking lot this weekend. The partnership between the City of Medicine Hat, Alberta Health Services and the group “19 to Zero” will host the walk-up clinic where no appointment is required on Saturday and Sunday. The van will be located at the north doors (facing Carry Drive) from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The clinic is available to anyone requiring first or second doses. Figures released this week by Alberta Health Services state that the number of Hatters with first-dose vaccine coverage surpassed 49,000. That comprises 82.9% of the population aged 12 or older. The percentage of the same age group with two shots, and therefore considered fully immunized, is 74.3. It is estimated that about 9,000 children in the city are younger than 12, and so far ineligible to receive the vaccine until Health Canada approval for the age group. 9
