https://www.medicinehatnews.com@MedicineHatNews The town of Leader, Sask. was without drinking water service for at least most of the day Wednesday after the system lost pressure due to a main replacement. That led to the issuance of a “precautionary drinking water advisory” to residents, advising them not to use or drink the water until the system could be flushed. It took effect at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, and also included a restriction on all open fires. The notice was delivered door-to-door and also delivered via the emergency broadcast system. A statement on the town’s website said the repair and restart process would take much of that day. It comes after a power outage affected a number of residences in the area for much of Tuesday. 6
