Mounties are investigating whether there is a connection to a child luring investigation in Gleichen last month and another in central Alberta.
Sketches of the suspect in each bear a resemblance to the other, the RCMP stated on Monday, and they are circulating them in hopes of learning more from the public.
On July 28, a 13-year-old boy was approached on Main Street in Gleichen and asked for sex in exchange for money by a man in his 50s with grey hair, blue eyes and glasses. He was driving a newer, light-coloured pickup.
On Aug. 9, a seven-year-old girl in Blackfalds, near Red Deer, was told to get in a vehicle by a man with darker skin, brown eyes, glasses and blue button-up shirt. He spoke with an accent.
Both children ignored the requests and continued to their homes.
Police say they cannot confirm the two incidents are related but say they are comparing the composite sketches and are asking for help from the public.
Anyone with information about either case should contact detachments in Gleichen (403-734-3923), Blackfalds (403-885-3300), or local police.
