Crews are removing the top layer of asphalt on Southview Drive, between Higdon Avenue and Thompson Crescent (near Dunmore Road), as well as almost the entire length of 12th Street NW, from Sanderson Avenue (near Division) to Brier Park Road. A third project sees work on 24th Street in Crestwood from 21st Avenue (near the entrance to the Stampede grounds) to Southview Drive. The two-inch top lift of asphalt should be laid down at the locations beginning June 28, depending on weather conditions. Call main switchboard An automated voice system will now greet and direct callers with inquires to city hall, officials announced Wednesday, calling the move part of a “citizen-facing digital strategy” that will save money and improve service. Rather than call departments directly, a release suggests, callers with inquiries should dial 403-529-8100 to reach city hall then choose from presented options. A new website design is part of the service strategy as well and could debut later this summer. 10
