Public school division identifies COVID case at Medicine Hat Christian

The Medicine Hat Public School Division announced a positive case of COVID-19 at Medicine Hat Christian School on Monday evening. The division’s statement says all close contacts of the positive case have been identified and are in quarantine and the school will remain open. “We are confident, based on AHS guidance, that those who have not been directed to quarantine can attend school safely,” says the release. Custodial teams conducted an enhanced cleaning before students and staff were able to return to the building, with a focus on areas where the positive case was present and all high touch areas and surfaces throughout the school. 5-4
