By Medicine Hat News on March 19, 2021.

Medicine Hat Police Service is reaching out to the public for assistance in locating a male involved in a domestic assault, as well as a vehicle that was reportedly stolen from the scene.

Upon investigating a report of the domestic assault Thursday, MHPS members determined the suspect had fled. A K9 team and an unmanned aerial vehicle were deployed, according to a release, however they were unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

Police are now asking for public assistance in locating a 2004 Dodge Ram with Alberta licence plate CGJ 1085.

Although the suspect cannot yet be named, as charges have not been formally processed, police confirmed in the release he is a 46-year-old Medicine Hat male, described as 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact MHPS at 403-529-8481, but not to approach or attempt to apprehend the suspect.

Services from the MHPS Victim Services Unit have been offered to the victim involved in the matter.
