Man killed on dark highway by tractor-trailer

A 30-year-old man is dead after being struck by a semi-truck while walking on a highway south of Gleichen on Tuesday night. Gleichen RCMP report that the accident on the Siksika Nation occurred on Highway 901, about four kilometres south of the Trans-Canada. Authorities say it appears the man was walking on the roadway when he was hit by an eastbound tractor-trailer. No charges have been laid but the incident is still under investigation. 5-4
