Another 730 cases identified across the province, none in the Hat

There were 730 new active COVID-19 cases identified in the last 24-hours for a total of 10,057 in the province.

There are 287 people in hospital and 57 of those are in ICU. A total of 11 deaths have been recorded in the past day, which Alberta Health has attributed to COVID.

In the south zone, which includes Lethbridge and Medicine Hat, the number of people in hospital has not changed in the last day and still stands at 19 with five of those in ICU.

In Medicine Hat there are no new active cases and the total number remains 51. In Cypress County the number of active cases has dropped by one, one person having recovered and no new cases in the last day. There are two new cases in Brooks and five in Taber. Most other communities have no additional cases or have fewer active cases due to people recovering.

Calgary zone sits at 4,201 active cases, while the Edmonton zone has 4,157, with 157 in hospital and 36 in ICU.

Total active cases in the south zone is 532. The total number of deaths that Alberta Health has attributed to COVID is 36 in the south zone.
