Gas City campground extending season

After a late start, the Gas City campground is extending its season into October, the municipal campground announced on Thursday. The city’s parks and recreation department is now accepting bookings to reserve serviced campsites until October 12. That represents a two-week extension to the season that typically closes on the last weekend in September. Provincial health restrictions kept the facility closed until early June, one month later than it’s usual opening day, and then only at half capacity to promote physical distancing. The facility expanded capacity to comprise all campsites in mid-July. 6-5
