Medicine Hat College’s student athletes raked in a whopping 32 Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association National Scholar Awards, the school announced Wednesday. The accolades are awarded to student-athletes who make the honour roll while competing in a sport for their school. The Rattlers had winners from every one of their men’s and women’s teams. “Rattlers Athletics has always emphasized academic excellence and progression, and are very proud of our 32 Rattlers student-athletes,” Rattlers manager of sport and wellness Terry Ballard said in an MHC release. “It is no easy task to practice hard every day, compete at a high level on weekends and achieve Dean’s list academic honours standing. These 32 Rattlers really understand what it means to be a student-athlete.” 4
