If it had not been for COVID you could have enjoyed the Cypress Hills Sheepdog Trials this weekend.
The event was to have taken place today and this weekend but due to health guidelines because of the pandemic, the event has been postponed.
It takes stamina, skill and determination to herd sheep across a hill, through a valley and get them into an enclosure in less than nine minutes. That is what many spectators from the area have been enjoying at this event in the past few years.
Dogs at the Cypress Hills Sheepdog Trials show spectators just how skilled they are. Each dog with their trainer commence the course at the same point that is marked with a white pole. Straight ahead, at the top of another hill about 350 yards away someone is standing with four sheep who have no idea what is about to happen.
The website for Canine Solutions does not specify an alternative date yet for the trials.
