Impaired-related charges for suspect in alleged drunk driving incident

A 21-year-old man has been arrested by police after allegedly driving drunk early Wednesday morning.

Police received phone calls around 2 a.m. that a Dodge Ram crashed into two vehicles on Storrs Crescent. The driver then fled the scene.

Police located the driver and the truck in the Ross Glen area after hearing a tire explode.

The man was arrested on impaired driving charges and provided breath samples into a police instrument.

Police estimate more than $100,000 in damages to three vehicles and property.

Charges include impaired driving, exceeding .08, dangerous driving and failure to remain at the scene of a collision. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 28.
