MARLENE MORRISSETTE
~ 2020
V. Marlene Morrissette, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 83 years, beloved wife of the late Roland Morrissette. She leaves to cherish her memory four children, Hal (Evelyn) Squires, Kim (Mike) Kendrick, Scott (Donna) Squires and Todd (Sharon) Squires; eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two brothers, two sisters; Roland’s extended family and numerous nieces and nephews. 1939 ~ MILTON BICE ~ 2020

Milton Charles Bice of Medicine Hat, passed away with his family by his side, on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the age of 81 years, beloved husband of the late Gladys Bice. He leaves to cherish his memory two children, Peggy (Tom) Brushett and Trudy Bice all of Medicine Hat; his adopted family Laura and Glen Coulombe of Medicine Hat; three sisters-in-law, Marina Palmer, Barbara Pringle and Donna Appell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Daisy Bice; his wife Gladys on March 25, 2003 and by one son in infancy. Milton enjoyed watching T.V. especially sports, particularly curling and Blue Jays baseball. He was a meticulous gardener; his trees and yard were always manicured. Due to restrictions in place regarding COVID- 19 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health – funeral services are now limited to no more than 100 attendees including family and funeral home staff, therefore a private family graveside service for invited guests will take place at Hillside Cemetery on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. Those who wish to remember Milton with a donation, may do so to the Canadian Diabetes Association; or to the Medicine Hat and District Health Foundation (specify funds to be allocated to: Intensive Care Unit at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital) (Cheques made payable to MH&D Health Foundation) 666 5th Street SW, Medicine Hat, Alberta T1A 4H6 or place your donation online at http://www.InYour Community.ca. 1946 ~ NORMAN SCHERER ~ 2020

Norman Gordon Scherer of Medicine Hat, AB passed away peacefully on June 24th, 2020 at the age of 73 years after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his best friend, Beverly Giroux; children, Dyan Galloway (Arthur McDermott), Joelle Scherer (Derek Wilcox), Jeffrey (Dena) Scherer, and Jordon Scherer (Dana Beck); grandchildren, Nikole (Sam) Menard, Raegan Scherer and Shae-Lynn Scherer, Max Scherer, Linden Scherer and Lincoln Scherer, Jaron Gackle and Jevon Gackle; great-grandchildren, Jade Menard and Jasmine Menard; brother, Dave, Harvey and Roy; sisters, Lori, Sharon, and Maxine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Viola; brother, Robert; and sisters, Judy and Shirley. Norman will be deeply and sadly missed by all those who knew and loved him. BEGEMANN, ILSE SOPHIE

March 24, 1929 – June 26, 2020

Ilse Begemann passed away in Calgary on Friday June 26, 2020 at the age of 91 years. She is pre-deceased by her husband, Wilhelm; daughter, Dirka and a sister, Wilma. Ilse will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Bill (Barb) of Onoway, AB; Dirk (Bonnie) of Calgary and Bernd (Fran) also of Calgary; 13 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren. Ilse was born on March 24, 1929 in Germany to Dietrich and Sophie Damke. She immigrated to Canada in 1957, first settling in Lethbridge. The Begemann family had also lived in Medicine Hat, Foremost and Blairmore where she spent many years with her best friend Ulli Tacs. Ilse was a kind and attentive mother. She always looked after her family and had a particularly close and special relationship with her daughter, Dirka. Ilse loved being a hostess and preparing delicious homemade meals for family and friends. She possessed a spirited and determined personality. She will be missed by many family and friends.
