SW Sask. Experiences eight-hour power outage Thursday morning

A broken power pole in Southwest Saskatchewan left the town of Maple creek without electricity for about eight hours on Thursday. SaskPower reported the outage that also affected Richmound, Tompkins, Golden Prairie and nearby rural areas at about 4:20 a.m. Crews had restored power to all rural areas by 11 a.m., then Maple Creek town customers by noon.
