Bow Island unveils its reopen plans

Bow Island has released its reopen schedule for town facilities.

The multiplex will reopen June 15 to a maximum 50 people at one time, while the swimming pool has a tentative reopening date of July 1 once a schedule and safety plan are developed.

The province announced this week that pools and fitness facilities across the province could reopen as soon as Friday following nearly three months of health restrictions that forced their closure.

Municipalities have said that they will bring back facilities as they determine safe re-entry and operating plans that observe ongoing restrictions and guidelines to arrest the spread of the coronavirus.

In Medicine Hat, beyond the reopening of the Esplanade Arts and Heritage Centre to the public on June 15, no timetable has been given for recreation facilities and other indoor activities.

The Town of Bow Island announced Thursday that effective immediately it would open up cordoned off campsites at the municipal campground. The town hall has been opened since June 1.

Advisories on ball diamonds, and a potential pickle ball league could be released soon, states a release.
