A student philanthropic club at Eagle Butte High School made donations to three local non-profit organizations on Tuesday.

Scott Raible, teacher, together with school librarian Sherry Anton, helped to organize the club together with four extremely dedicated students who sell pizza twice a week to students in the school all year long, said Raible.

The club made the decision to support organizations that they felt could best use funds to address vital and urgent needs throughout the community.

Medicine Hat and District Food Bank received $1,000, The Mustard Seed $1,500 for its hot meal program and HALO helicopter air ambulance also received $1,500.

“The success of this club, and the reason that we are able to make three donations is due to the volunteer efforts of four students in particular,” said Raible.
