Lost dog a long way from home

Hatter Susan Pahl is doing her best to help a man get his best friend back.

On March 23 Pahl’s son found a dog in town and by the end of the day, the owner picked the dog up. Pahl then got a call from a woman in Florida looking for a similar looking dog to the her son found. The dog her son found was a male, the woman was looking for a female dog.

Pahl decided to help the woman look for the lost dog.

“The lady who called me is a sheriff’s deputy down in Florida,” said Pahl. “She said her uncle was travelling to Ontario with his dog, Montana, and he was going for an important medical appointment.

“Her uncle has had his heart removed – that’s what the appointment was for.

“He lost the dog at the Burger King in Redcliff.”

The Redcliff RCMP is now looking into the case and Pahl is offering a reward of $500 if Montana is found.

Streling Hinch of the Gas City Dog Club has offered to board Montana for as long as needed if she is found.

The dog is one year old. Her owner’s name Robert Duxbury. There has not been any sightings of the dog yet.

Anyone who finds or sees the dog is asked to call the Redcliff RCMP.
