The Family Leisure Centre unveiled its newly-branded 17,000 square-foot South Country Co-op Fitness Centre on Thursday. “The FLC offers a variety of health and wellness programming for everyone,” said James Will, the city’s general manager of parks and recreation. “The South Country Co-op Fitness Centre really is a place where everyone, regardless of ability, can feel empowered while working towards achieving their personal goals.” South Country Co-op CEO Paul Haynes says the FLC fits perfectly with its “core values” – community and people. “We encourage our team members, member-owners, and guests to pursue a balanced lifestyle, while making it fun – so what better place to have fun, stay healthy and get fit than at the FLC? We are very proud to be associated with such an amazing facility,” he said. The FLC has 5,200 regular members and 450,000 individuals visit the facility, which is open to all members of the public, annually. 7
