Hat High’s Mohawks boys basketball team got back to the .500 mark with a 105-87 win over the visiting LCI Rams Tuesday. Ethan Egert’s 34 points paced the Mohawks, who only led by two at the half but pulled away in the third quarter. Aiden Gripp had 16, while Elijah Buachie Kaba and Jaxson Bos each netted 15 for Hat High. Guard Brady Van Bruggen led LCI with 17 points, among six players who reached double digits. But the Rams fell to 4-5, still ahead of 3-3 Medicine Hat in the standings but having played three more games. Hat High’s next league game is Feb. 21 at home to Winston Churchill. In the earlier junior boys matchup, the Rams won 85-67. Crew Hirsche scored 25 points for LCI, while Evans Gryffin’s 15 led Hat High. The Rams improved to 6-3, while the Mohawks fell to 3-3. 6
