By Medicine Hat News on February 3, 2020.

Kieron Burgess posted a triple-double on Saturday night at Red Deer College, but even that wasn’t enough to keep the Medicine Hat Rattlers in the running for the playoffs.

The Rattlers guard recorded 22 points with 10 steals and 15 rebounds – 10 of which came off the defensive glass – while going 3-for-8 from outside the arc, but his Rattlers came up short for the eighth time in a row with an 86-66 loss to the Kings.

David Kent-Canalejo followed up Burgess’s efforts with 15 points.

Ramiro Martinez Quintanill Jiminez and Tyronn King both put up 22 points for the Kings in the victory, while Anthony Harper added six points, nine assists and 10 rebounds.

Medicine Hat slipped to 2-14 with the loss. Red Deer climbed to fourth in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference South Division standing with an 8-7 record.
