Senft leads Waves in Cochrane meet

The Medicine Hat Waves sent four swimmers to the Winter Festival meet in Cochrane this past weekend, with one of them earning a handful of top results.

Kage Senft, 11, was second in his 100 metre individual medley, third in his 50 metre freestyle and fourth in both 50 butterfly and 100 freestyle.

Teammates William Miller, Kaden Goffinet and James Cole also took part in the 11-year-old division. Miller’s best finish was 11th in the 100 IM, while Goffinet (100 free) and Cole (100 breaststroke) each had a 15th-place finish as their best.

Boys 8-11

Kage Senft (11) – 100 IM, second; 50 free, third; 50 fly, fourth; 100 free, fourth; 100 back, sixth; 50 back, 13th.

William Miller (11) – 100 back, 11th; 100 IM, 13th; 50 fly, 20th; 100 free, 26th; 50 back, 54th; 50 free, 75th.

Kaden Goffinet (11) – 100 free, 15th; 100 IM, 16th; 100 breast, 23rd; 50 breast, 30th; 50 free, 32nd; 50 back, 60th.

James Cole (11) – 100 breast, 15th; 100 IM, 22nd; 50 breast, 29th; 100 free, 39th; 50 back, 70th; 50 free, 80th.
