1985 ~ MICHAEL WOLFER ~ 2020

Michael Darrin Christopher Wolfer of Medicine Hat passed away on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 at the age of 34 years. Michael leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Harvey and Bonnie Wolfer and brother, John Wolfer. The Funeral Service will be held at VICTORY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2793 Southview Drive SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1B 2H1, on Tuesday, January 14th, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jim Bredeson officiating. EMIL JESSKE

1926 ~ 2019
Mr. Emil Jesske passed away peacefully at the Haven Care Centre, South Country Village in Medicine Hat on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at the age of 93 years. Emil was born in Liebenthal, SK., and grew up on the family farm South of Leader. He would walk one and a half miles to school in all kinds of weather! Emil had a strong work ethic and drove horses early in the morning and late into the evening. He ranched in the Robsard District South of Maple Creek. He also helped other family members with their farm work, including his love for gardening, especially vegetables. A frugal man, he learned to fix and repair things with little to no resources – that was his way. Emil was a great story teller and enjoyed being a jokester. After retiring to Medicine Hat, he became a member of the Veiner Centre enjoying lunch and visiting several times a week. Emil was pre-deceased by his parents, Rudolf and Lydia Jesske; siblings, Adolf Jesske, Henry (Martha) Jesske, Albert (Elma) Jesske, Ida (Lewis Hoffman, Dan Pudwell) Hoffman Pudwell, Edna (Albert) Burkart, Edwin (Ruth) Jesske, Reinhold Jesske, Harvey Jesske and Raymond Jesske. He is survived by his siblings, Elma (Albert) Herrmann, Millie (Morley) Desjardine; sisters-in-law, Emma Jesske and Arlene Jesske as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Weurful Auditorium at South Country Village, 1720 Bell Street S.W., Medicine Hat on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery, with lunch to follow in the Heritage Centre at South Country Village. RALPH BROWNE

1960 ~ 2020

Ralph Kevin Browne completed his life’s work on Sunday, January 5, 2020, at the age of 59 years. His larger-than-life persona and his musical legacy will not soon be forgotten. From 1982 through 2000, Ralph served in several pastorates. During the past eighteen years he established and operated Browne’s Musical Academy. He also founded Selah Singers, a community choir. Helping people find their own voice and to discover the rich repertoire of vocal music was his passion. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend, Valerie Browne; his children, Andrew (Julie) and Adam (Danielle); sisters, Carol (Allan) Lennox, Shirley (Don) McIntosh and Wendy (Jim) Crouse; step-mom, Ardith Wolsey and sister-in-law, Joanne Browne. He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his memory. Ralph will be remembered for his deep love of God and people. A Celebration of Ralph’s Life in word and song will be held at Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church, 3785 – 13 Ave. S.E., Medicine Hat on Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Shane Andrus officiating.
