The Hudson’s Bay store in Medicine Hat Mall was closed on Monday and teams of people were removing an accumulation of water.

A spokesperson for the company at it’s corporate headquarters in Toronto said the flood was “due to a sprinkler malfunction”.

There was no response to queries about the extent of the flooding.

The store reopened on Tuesday.
