The last Pechakucha event this year will take place on Saturday at the Esplanade main theatre at 8:20 p.m.

The event will feature a wide variety of speakers with stories for all ages to enjoy, said Darlene Kanski, committee member. It promises to be a fun, free and an entertaining evening for everyone, with 10 passionate speakers, 10 engaging stories and 20 big-screen images.

The speakers featured on Saturday include: Pam Robertson talking about a day in the life of a writer, Sydney Campbell on what it takes to create an entrepreneurial mindset, John Cherwonogrodzky presenting “John’s Most Excellent Ukrainian Adventure – From Perogies to Prophesis”, Sierra Perin on how 5G and wireless technology can impact our health, John Widden about people who give, Joan Kennedy on Scottish country dancing, and Simos Amos about the double map and intelligent transit technology. Pechakucha is a Japanese word for “chit-chat” and about 1,000 cities around the world currently host events.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. There is a cash bar and a suggested donation of $5.
