KRUTZLER

Bernadette “Bernie” Krutzler passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at the age of 65 years, beloved wife of Bruce Krutzler of Medicine Hat. She also leaves to cherish her memory two children, Denine (John) Welsh and their children Liam and Caiden; Ryan Krutzler and his daughter Kiarra; two brothers, Dwayne (Angela) and Tony (Gwen); four sisters, Marlene (George), Margaret, Isabelle (Ian), Marie and Bernice; sister-in-law Alice as well as numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Joseph Ries and her siblings, Joe, Gordon and Josephine. Though her time with us was shorter than we could have imagined it was filled with an abundance of love for everyone in her life. She was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan where she grew up on a simple farm and attended Liebenthal School, then in 1965, her family moved to Medicine Hat. While attending St. Mary’s School Bernie met her future husband Bruce at the young age of 14 through mutual friends and began dating. In 1973 they married, begin their family, and remained together for the next 46 years. During her life she worked alongside her sisters at National Porcelain, as a housekeeper at the Imperial Inn and as a caregiver for WeCare. Bernie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who took great pleasure in taking care of her loved ones. She was the rock of our family; always organizing schedules and making sure everyone was where they needed to be. If you needed to talk, to hear a calming voice or sound advice she was the one to call. One of her passions was crafting, especially scrapbooking. She would often spend hours in her craft room combing through the scrapbooking sites on her computer looking for new projects to create. Her greatest creation being memory albums made for each of her grandchildren. Bernie’s love will forever be felt in the hearts of those were blessed to have known her.
Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the PATTISON CHAPEL on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Life Celebrant, David Townsend.
