Demetrio awaits the throw in the final of the Little League Intermediate Divisional Championship Saturday at Atso Towaawa Park. The Bisons won 7-0 to win the championship final, having defeated Medicine Hat 11-0 in the teams' round-robin game Thursday.

Medicine Hat’s entry at the Alberta Little League Intermediate Divisional Championship got to Saturday’s final in Lethbridge, but a dominant home team stopped them from getting any further.

The Lethbridge Bisons earned a 7-0 win, led by pitcher Joseph Seo who struck out 16 batters according to the Lethbridge Herald.

Seo only walked one batter, while his squad completed a perfect 4-0 record to advance to nationals in Langley, B.C.

Medicine Hat lost 11-0 to the Bisons in the round robin and would have needed to beat them twice to win the tournament.

No information on Medicine Hat’s other games was reported.
