Boney M booked for December

Boney M, singers of the Christmas staple “Mary’s Boy Child,” will be in Medicine Hat in December.

The group that also counts “Rasputin” “Ma Baker” and “Belfast” among its eight No. 1 singles on the European charts will perform at the Canalta Centre on Dec. 6.

“Boney M. has a live show that is as spectacular as ever,” said Canalta Centre general manager Tammy Sweeney in a release. “They are one of those bands who have lived on through the generations – ‘Rasputin’ – need I say more? This is going to be a great kick-off to the Christmas season with their mega popular song ‘Mary’s Boy Child’ belting through the Canalta Centre.”

Tickets start at $49 and go on sale June 3 and are available at ticketmaster.ca or at the Canalta Centre Box Office.
