1931 ~ Sebastian “Goldade ~ 2019 Sebstian “Seb” Goldade, beloved husband of the late, Evelyn Goldade, passed away at Sunnyside Nursing Home in Medicine Hat on Friday, May 17th, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Seb leaves to cherish his memory his children, Larry (Debbie), Linda (Wayne) Stodolka, and Mark (Kathy); 7 grandchildren, Denice(Curtis), Jason (Crystal), Bryan, Troy (Maisie), Brent (Jeanette), Dawn (Sheldon) and Dustin (Cathy); 13 great-grandchildren, Skye, Kyler, Nikita, Ryder, Rylan, Kaden, Bryanne, Blake, Savannah, Kayla, Cole, Dominic and Dayton; 3 great great-grandchildren, Hudson, Oaklee, and Claire; sister, Barb (Walter) Eresman; sisters-in-law, Toni, Thelma, Margaret, and Barbara; brother-in-law, Marvin (Janet) Fischer; sisters-in-law, Bernice Stuber and Karen (Andy) Flaig; his two aunts; and numerous nephews and nieces. Seb was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Francis Goldade; brothers, Phil, Michael, George, and Simon; sister, Lucille (Pete) McLean; in-laws, Emanuel and Laura (Fregin) Goldade; sisters-in-law, Gladys Goldade and Marlene Coslovich; and brother in-law, Harry. JACK (JOHN) DOW FORBES April 15, 1938 – May 15, 2019
Jack [John] Dow Forbes, father, friend, brother, potter, professor, and Medalta man, played the long game. Jack passionately pursued pottery as a professor of fine arts in the Faculty of Extension, University of Alberta, as co- author of Pottery in Alberta: The Long Tradition, as Executive Director of Medalta National Historic Clay District, and as studio potter of Blue Heart Pottery, Peachland. Jack’s only child is John Forbes Jr. who was the apple of his dad’s eye. Jack showed John the big world on road trips from Hedley Mine to Paris, France. Jack is survived by John, by Jack’s three younger brothers – Doc (Mable), Murray (Marilyn), and Ken (Mary-Sue), and by good friend and mother of John, Ardiss Stutters. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the kindness of friends and staff at the Village at Mill Creek and the kidney dialysis unit of Kelowna General Hospital. Jack passed into God’s loving embrace on May 15, 2019, Kelowna. A service will be held at the Village at Mill Creek, 1450 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna on Thursday May 23, 2pm.
